Google Chrome OS - This just might bring Linux to the Desktop!

The news about the Google Chrome Operating System was by far one of the most exciting Tech news this year! Much of our work has allready been moved to the cloud, and a lightweight, Internet centered operating system is a natural way to challenge old desktop application habits. Using Linux as a base for the operating system makes sence - it's efficient and "Linux" major flaw is the user interface.

Google has a nice track record on making great software. Gmail is of course the best example of this: It made us move our mail to the web from Outlook, not only because it's nice to access your mail over the Internet, but because of the Gmail App is superior in functionality and very easy to use.
With Google we have grown used to great API's as well - Google API's are extreamly easy to work with - from Google Maps to Android.

And with Google developing the windowing system, Linux will finally get it's chance to enter the desktop market for real. And as a developer and technology lover, I hope that Google will create a system that is just as innovative and great as all their other efforts.
